Meet Dr. Lyn
Trevann F. Lyn DMDDr. Lyn
was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica W.I. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Benedict College, SC where he was mentored and conducted research in genetic oncology under prominent professors at University Of South Carolina. He graduated with a 4.0 GPA, and was accepted on a full academic scholarship to the University Of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his Doctorate in Dental Medicine.
In recognition of his natural abilities in the surgical arts, he was awarded the prodigious Topazian Award, an honor given to only a select few historically whom have displayed an uncanny sense of community service. Following dental school his interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery led him to the competitive Howard University Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Washington DC where he completed his training at one of DC’s most active Level 1 trauma centers.
Whilst in residency, Dr. Lyn’s surgical cases traversed the gamut from facial trauma, dentoalveolar, TMJ, oncology, esthetic and orthognathic surgery; the latter facilitated under the tutelage of world-renowned craniofacial surgeon Dr. Jeffery Posnick, whom has established a practice with a global referral base. Culminating his experiences with understanding the mechanisms and reconstructive techniques employed to treat the most severe craniofacial and trauma patients, Dr. Lyn authored several scientific studies during his time as Chief at Howard University Hospital, in the hopes that his knowledge could be shared with the next generation of surgeons.
